Auction Registration
Each auction has its own registration process.
Having an AOS account allows you to browse auctions, but you must also register for each auction in which you wish to participate.
During registration, you will be shown:
- the Auction Terms;
- payment conditions;
- any verification requirements;
- bidding eligibility requirements.
Once approved, you will be able to participate when bidding opens.
Identity Verification
Depending on the Organizer’s requirements, you may be asked to verify your identity.
This may include:
- government-issued identification;
- proof of address;
- business information;
- additional supporting documentation.
Verification requirements may vary from one auction to another.
Payment Verification
Some auctions require payment verification before bidding is enabled.
This process helps ensure that winning buyers can successfully complete the transaction if they are awarded a Lot.
Payment verification does not necessarily mean that your card will be charged before the auction.
Where applicable, AOS will clearly explain how the verification process works.
Organizer Approval
Certain auctions may require manual approval by the Organizer.
Your registration may be reviewed before access to bidding is granted.
If additional information is required, the Organizer may contact you directly through the Platform.
Registration Status
Throughout the registration process, you can monitor your status within your account.
Typical statuses include:
- Pending
- Under Review
- Verified
- Approved
- Additional Information Required
You will also receive notifications whenever your status changes.
Before Bidding Opens
We recommend completing your registration well before the auction begins.
Waiting until the last minute may delay your ability to bid if verification or approval is still pending.
Registering early gives you time to review the collection, ask questions and prepare your bidding strategy.
Privacy and Security
All personal information submitted during registration is processed securely and in accordance with AOS’s Privacy Policy.
Verification information is used solely for identity verification, fraud prevention, legal compliance and operation of the Platform.
Your information is never shared beyond what is necessary to complete these purposes.
