Overview
The Auction Builder has been designed to guide you through the creation of a professional auction step by step.
Each section builds on the previous one, ensuring that your auction contains all the information buyers need before bidding begins.
You can save your progress at any time and continue later. Your work will be preserved automatically.
Choose the Right Auction Type
Begin by selecting the auction format that best suits your event.
AOS supports multiple auction formats, including:
- Online Auction
- Live Auction
- Hybrid Auction
Choose the format that matches how you intend to sell your collection.
Configure Your Auction
Provide the essential information for your auction, including:
- Auction name
- Short description
- Opening date and time
- Closing date and time
- Time zone
- Currency
- Organizer details
This information will appear throughout your Organizer Website and Auction Page.
Build Your Collection
Your auction collection is made up of individual Lots.
You can:
- create new horse profiles;
- add horses already stored in your library;
- edit existing horse profiles;
- assign horses to different auctions.
Each Lot should include complete and accurate information before publication.
Configure Commercial Terms
Next, configure the commercial settings for your auction.
Depending on your business model, you may define:
- Starting Bid
- Reserve Price
- Buyer’s Premium
- Payment Deadline
- Accepted Payment Methods
- Collection Deadline
These values are automatically incorporated into your Auction Terms.
Complete the Legal Settings
The Auction Builder includes a dedicated Auction Legal Settings section.
You only configure the legal variables specific to your auction.
AOS automatically generates the complete legal documentation using the standard legal framework.
There is no need to write legal clauses manually.
Before publishing, you can review the final document using the Preview Auction Terms option.
Review Your Auction
Before publication, carefully review:
- auction information;
- collection;
- horse profiles;
- dates;
- commercial settings;
- legal settings;
- branding;
- contact information.
Taking a few minutes to review everything helps avoid corrections after the auction goes live.
Publish Your Auction
Once all required sections have been completed, your auction is ready to publish.
Publishing makes the auction available on your Organizer Website and allows buyers to begin registering, depending on your publication schedule.
Any required publication fees will be clearly displayed before publication is confirmed.
After Publication
Once your auction is live, you can continue managing operational aspects such as:
- approving buyers (where applicable);
- responding to enquiries;
- monitoring registrations;
- updating optional content;
- adding sponsors;
- reviewing auction activity.
Core commercial and legal settings should only be modified where appropriate to preserve consistency and transparency for buyers.
Best Practices
For the best results:
- publish your auction well in advance;
- complete every horse profile before launch;
- upload professional photographs and videos;
- verify all dates and deadlines;
- invite buyers before bidding opens;
- promote your auction consistently throughout its lifecycle.
Well-prepared auctions generate greater confidence, attract more bidders and typically achieve stronger sale results.
